Identity package update
This conversation is designed to refresh your memory about what we were doing before the break!
As a reminder, the February 28 class required you to review the draft identity package of your peers. You received feedback and had an opportunity to see what your classmates were doing to assess how it was different from what you are doing and the ways it might be similar.
Let's discuss!
As a reminder, the February 28 class required you to review the draft identity package of your peers. You received feedback and had an opportunity to see what your classmates were doing to assess how it was different from what you are doing and the ways it might be similar.
Let's discuss!
- What kind of feedback did you get? What suggestions were made?
- How did (or will) you incorporate the feedback you received? What changes will you make as a result of the feedback you received?
- What did you notice about your classmates work that made you think differently about your own?
- Now that you have seen the work of others, does your identity package "stand out"? If so, what makes your product "stand out"? If not, what are you going to do to make yourself unique within the ubiquitous white noise of information in our modern society?
- When you think about what makes you special, how has that been reflected in your identity package?
Journal
Now that you have completed your Self-History, it is time to take a moment to reflect on what you learned as a result of conducting this "research" study. We will be writing a "journal" entry in class. The rules for writing are as follows:
- Do not stop. You must write continuously.
- Do not edit. Keep moving forward. Ignore misspellings, grammatical errors, capitalization and punctuation errors, etc.
- Do not quit. Write for the entire duration of allotted time.
- Based on what I learned through my self-history, I would like to improve….
- Based on what I learned through my self-history, some people are unhappy with….
- Based on what I learned through my self-history, an idea I would like to try….
- Based on what I learned through my self-history, an aspect of my life I would like to reconsider is...
- Based on what I learned through my self-history, something I would like to change is….

- Continue to develop your website.
- Continue to develop your identity package.
- Work on mapping your network.
- Spend some time organizing your work for this course: What have you done? What do you still need to do?
- Other: Defined by YOU!

Group presentation
You are being asked to provide honest and supportive feedback to your peers regarding the presentation you saw today. Note that comments about your rating are required for each area. Providing only positive feedback, without critical assessment, does nothing to help your peers improve their presentation technique. Please ensure that your feedback is respectful and professional. Refer to the Assignment page for descriptions of the assessment criteria.
I need a progress update
Today, after the presentation, we will focus on your accomplishments since March 16.
Also, since a draft was due on March 28 of your Identity Package, please be prepared to share your product.
